september

Harry Potter: The Mysteries of Hogwarts (£16.99 – 2nd September) | The Film Vault (Volume 1) (£11.99 – 5th September) | The Film Vault (Volume 2) (£11.99 – 24th September) | Professor Trelawney Funko (£9.99 – 27th September) | Fawkes Funko (£9.99 – 27th September) | Cedric Yule Ball Funko (£9.99 – 27th September) | Harry Potter Funko Advent Calendar (£49.49 – 30th September) | Fleur Yule Ball Funko (£9.99 – 27th September) | 13th Doctor SDCC T-Shirt (£15.99 – 3rd September) | Marvel Funko Advent Calendar (£49.49 – 30th September) |

So much incredible stuff is coming out this September and you just knew that I would fangirl all over the Harry Potter merchandise appearing! I did include a Doctor Who t-shirt too so I did vary myself! Haha! I’m not sure how many people actually read this series of posts but I love looking at what is coming up and popping each on my wishlist.

Mysteries of Hogwarts & Film Vaults 1 and 2

September means a selection of Jodie Revenson books all about the Harry Potter world!

If you’re looking for a short but incredibly detailed book of illustrations about Hogwarts, then you’ll want to have to look out for this new book from Jody! She’s written almost as many books as Jo at this point and it’s amazing to see all the facts that she’s gathered from the books and the films! It is a bit expensive at £16.99 for 48 pages but it’s good for any collector. You’ve also got the two Film Vaults coming this month too!

Professor Trelawney Funko Pop

Next up, we have the Professor Trelawney Funko pop and I’ve been waiting for Funko to bring her out! Ever since I read the Prisoner of Azkaban and saw what Hermione thought of her, I’ve loved her! Even more so when Emma Thompson just brought us to life for us!

Fawkes, cedric diggory and fleur delacour funko pop

Another 3 Funkos that I need to add to my collection have to be Fawkes, Cedric and Fleur! Fawkes is the most beautiful phoenix that I wish we’d gotten to read more about in the Potter books. Maybe we’ll see how Dumbledore gets him in the Fantastic Beasts films? We also have the Yule Ball pops appearing on the market and they’re adorable!! I do love Ginny’s but there is just something about the way Cedric and Fleur look here that I adore.

Yule Ball and Classic Marvel Advent Calendars

Before you say anything…yes, I’m including some advent calendars in my September post! You’re never too early to mention them because so many fans will be wanting these that you want to buy it quick so they don’t sell out! I’m not actually planning on getting the Potter Funko calendar because I’m planning to get the full-size Pops, but I do know a lot of people will want! If you love Marvel, then you will need to grab the Classic Pop calendar! It’s so quirky and I love!

13th doctor t-shirt

Finally we have this stunning Doctor Who t-shirt!! I’m actually in love with the design of the 13th Doctor, the inverted coloured Tardis and then the explosion of colour behind it! I actually think that would make an amazing tattoo! Haha!

What fandom things are you excited to see coming out this September?

New In Fandom | July 2019 (Harry Potter, Dr Who, RWBY…)

RWBY

The Lion King: Animated Classics (Hardcover) (8th July – £10.99) | Toy Story 4: Alien (1st July – £9.99) | Harry Potter & Dobby Action Figure (8th July – £197.90) | Gryffindor and Slytherin Tiny Book Hardcover (29th July – £5.99 each) | Harry Potter 2019-2020 Weekly Planner (1st July – £16.99) | Harry Potter Hogwarts Coasters Book (25th July – £16.99) | Are You As Clever as The Doctor Puzzle Book (4th July – £5.99) | Harry Potter Origami (4th July – £8.99) | RWBY: After The Fall (1st July – £6.99) | Weiss Schnee Pop Vinyl (14th July – £9.99)

Hey guys and welcome back to another ‘What’s new in fandom’ post that nobody cares about! Yaaay! Haha! There are some amazing things coming out in July especially since so much is being released! Lots of Harry Potter as always with a sprinkling of Doctor Who and a dash of Disney and RWBY! Let’s get started!

The Lion King: Animated Classics

I think I must have seriously been under a rock to miss this series of Disney classics! I didn’t know they existed until I went on the Forbidden Planet website! Now I know and in perfect time for The Lion King! I cannot wait to see the story that I love accompanied with animator drawings next to it! The Simba and Mufasa moments get me in any form! *sniff*

You can get The Little Mermaid, Snow White, Dumbo, Aladdin and Sleeping Beauty as well!

Toy story 4 alien vinyl pop

The clawwww! Out of all the characters in Toy Story that I’ve watched over the years, my firm favourites have always been the aliens! They’re just fun and I always rewatch the moment in the claw machine when they think it’s the mothership there to take them hope. Even typing it is making me giggle. Do you have any favourite characters?

Harry Potter & Dobby Action Figure

Oof! The price on this! To be honest with you guys I wouldn’t pay nearly £200 for this figure. I can understand why some Potter fans would be but not me. That being said I still wanted to include it on my list because it looks so good!! The attention to detail is so good! Yes, I did squint at the Harry figure to see if he had green eyes but couldn’t tell on the picture. Let me know if you have better eyesight than me and see if they are green or blue!

The uniform looks so comfy, as do the robes! The fun thing you can do with Harry is you can change his hand positions with different hands! You also get little props to give him too such as The Marauders Map, a sock, his wand, Hedwig and the Monster Book of Monsters! Dobby looks just like the film version…whoooooa!

RWBY

Gryffindor & Slytherin Tiny Book Hardcover

According to the Forbidden Planet website, these little books are all about the Harry Potter films and each House edition chats about the specific House with fun artwork and some behind-the-scenes. I could only see Gryffindor and Slytherin so hopefully we’ll get teeny Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw books as well! Fingers crossed!

Harry Potter 2019-2020 Weekly Planner

If you follow me on Instagram (if you don’t, follow!), I shared a pic of the 2019 weekly planner I had bought from Waterstones! It’s such a gorgeous planner and perfect for this weird little Potter fan! When I saw that a new planner was coming out next month I knew that I had to add it to my buy list! I find planners so helpful for different things and the fact that it features the Marauders Map fits in perfectly with the Prisoner of Azkaban anniversary!

Harry Potter Hogwarts Coasters Book

Okay, this has to be the most random book ever created for Harry Potter but I’m still going to own it! As someone who has many cups of tea a day, you always need a coaster! I need Hufflepuff coasters in my life!

Are You As Clever As The Doctor Puzzle Book

Look! Something that isn’t Harry Potter!! It’s safe to say that I’m not as clever as The Doctor because she’s like how old now?! If you’re a Whovian who loves logic problems, riddles and pencil-and-paper games! This old brain could do with some puzzles to keep it working so let’s see what she has in store for me!

Harry Potter Origami

You know how I said the coasters were the most random book? Well, now we have origami! They really are pushing Harry Potter to all corners of the craft world, aren’t they? Haha! I’ve always loved the idea behind origami and the fact that you have specific paper to fold into Potter things!! We get to fold a Howler! YAY!

RWBY: After The Fall

You may not know this about me but I’m actually a pretty big RWBY fan! If you’ve never heard of RWBY, I’ll check the link so you can watch five of the volumes!! It’s so good! You may love this if you’re a fan of the Brothers Grimm! This book follows one of the teams from Beacon Academy (the school) called Team CFVY (Coffee)! I’ve always wanted to know so much more about this team and cannot wait to see what craziness they get up to! It’s probably best if you watch Volumes 1 to 3 before you read this since it has major spoilers!

Weiss Schee Vinyl Pop

Weiss is one of the main characters in RWBY (she’s the W in the name!) and is nicknamed ‘The Ice Queen’ by her friends. Watch the show and you’ll know why! I think she’s an amazing character who is very sassy, tries to hide that she cares through quick remarks but cracks around friends and has an amazing weapon! She is based off Snow White so Disney fans would love RWBY too!

Have you got anything else nerdy that you’re excited for in July?

What Will I Be Reading In June? | Daisy’s TBR

reading

*All items marked with a (*) were gifted to me in exchange for my honest thoughts. Any opinions given are entirely my own.

With June making an appearance next Saturday, I reckon it’s the perfect time to chat about what I’m planning on reading next month. There were so many choices at my local library and I’m actually really pleased with my little selection of YA books!

Orphan Monster Spy by Matt Killeen

I’ve never come across a book quite like this! I’ve read spy books like Alex Rider, books set during the Holocaust and books set in boarding schools, but not all in one book. It’s such an interesting plot and reminds me a little of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy! Thrillers aren’t my usual genre but I genuinely excited to read this!

The Butterfly Circus by Francesca Armour-Chelu*

This stunningly beautiful book was actually gifted to me so big thanks to Francesca and Walker Books! I adore stories where you have mystery fused with adventure! You get to follow sisters Tansy and Belle who are stars of a circus finale! After an accident and one sister vanishing, you get to join in the search for the missing sister and the journey along the way! I’ve actually started reading this already (and adoring!!) but this comes out on June 6th so hinthint! Haha!

They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera

Ever since I read the collab ‘What If It’s Us‘ with Adam Silvera and Becky Albertalli, I’ve fallen for Adam’s writing! I’ve always had a bit of a morbid sense of humour (blame my mum!) and, when I read the plot of the two main characters being told they only have a day to live, my interest was piqued! The characters Mateo and Rufus are total strangers but they manage to hook up through an app designed for the last day and try to cram a lifetime into a day! I’m ready for my heart to be shattered! *sob*

Superman: Dawnbreaker by Matt De La Peña

What with Marvel taking over the cinema, DC has been slowly been planning their domination! They’ve had some amazing films out recently such as Suicide Squad, Aquaman and Birds of Prey (coming next year). Not only have they had the big screen but they’ve also been teaming up with incredible authors writing stories of well-known heroes: Wonderwoman: Warbringer, Catwoman: Soulstealer and Batman: Nightwalker! I’ve watched so many things about Superman but I think this book shows his early days in a completely different light! My inner DC nerd needs to do some reading of baby Boy Of Steel!

Doctor Who: Combat Magicks by Steve Cole

I’m missing the Doctor, Yas, Ryan and Graham! I’ve been chomping at the bit ever since the New Year special and, with the new pictures popping up on the Doctor Who Twitter, I needed to find something to do! I’ve not actually picked up any of the Doctor Who books until now since I’m more of a visual person but I saw Jodie and this book somehow ended up in my flat! If you want to hear one of the cast reading this, Mandip Gill (Yasmin) is narrating the audiobook!

Dancing The Charleston by Jacqueline Wilson

You can’t do any reading without a Jacqueline Wilson book in your list! I’ve got a weird reason for wanting to read this book (other than being a big fan of Jacqueline!). I used to do extra work a few years ago and did some in a BBC TV show called The Village! It was being filmed around Matlock and around Derbyshire so of course I wanted to get involved! Cue driving through the Peak District at 4am and getting dirtied up for life as a factory worker! You did get treated like cattle but I was happy! This wasn’t acting work so wouldn’t end up on my CV but it was giving me a chance to learn how filming works and set etiquette! Long story short, it was set in the 1920s and we actually had to learn some steps of the Charleston for a scene! It was so much fun and this book looks just as fun!

New In Fandom | May/June 2019

May June Fandom 2019

Calling All Witches (£9.99 – 1st June) | Prisoner of Azkaban: House Editions (£7.99 – 13th June) | Prisoner of Azkaban: House Hardback (13th June – £14.99) | Tardis Scarf (£12.99) | Captain Marvel Patch T-Shirt (£14.99 – 3rd May) | Captain Marvel Loungefly Bag (£67.99) | Avengers: Endgame Tech Suit Hoodie (£58.49 – 5th May) | The Princess, The Scoundrel and The Farm Boy (£5.99 – 23rd June)

Another month, another question of how on earth it has gone so quick! It’s almost May and so much is coming out in all the different fandoms I love! I decided to push together May and June because you can never go wrong with a 2 for 1 bundle like this! Between books and fashion, we’re going to be very spoiled!

Calling All Witches

I’ve been waiting for a book like this for a long time and wish it was longer than 96 pages! I’d always hoped that the ladies of Harry Potter would finally get more love and now they do! From Hermione Granger to Tina Goldstein, we’ll be getting a bunch of our favourite witches to fawn over!

Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban (House Editions)

You guys know that I’ve been adoring all of the House editions of the Potter books! I’ve gotten all the editions for Philosopher’s Stone and Chamber of Secrets so it’s no surprise that I’ve pre-ordered the Hufflepuff copies of Prisoner of Azkaban! Think we can get June here faster please?

Tardis Scarf

I used to adore buying scarves when I was younger but lost interest for a while since I could never find any others that went with what I chose to wear! That said, look at this Tardis scarf!! It’s the perfect blue and I adore all of the teeny Tardis scattered all over! It feels like it’s very space-themed too which fits Doctor Who perfectly.

Captain Marvel Patch T-Shirt

With Avengers: Endgame out in cinemas, I had to include some Captain Marvel items in what is coming out in the next couple of months! I don’t own as many fandom t-shirts as I’d like and I love the look of this one! It feels like very 90s band and everyone should fan over Carol purely because Brie Larson makes her very bad-ass!

Captain Marvel Loungefly Bag

Lately I’ve seen so much about the brand ‘Loungefly’ who creates these incredible nerdy bags that I wish I could own! A couple of my friends own some Disney ones and, when I saw this Captain Marvel one, I fell in love! Wouldn’t be able to afford almost £68 but I can still admire from afar! If you have the money and love this, can I share ownership? Haha!

Avengers: Endgame Tech Suit Hoodie

You don’t have to have seen Avengers: Endgame to what to own this comfy-looking hoodie! I won’t say why this tech suit is super important but I love any excuse to buy a nerdy hoodie! I’m actually hoping to buy a Hufflepuff one from the Studio Tour soon to keep myself all snug when the British weather goes a little psycho!

The Princess, The Scoundrel and The Farm Boy

I didn’t even know that this book was coming out and, now that I do, I need it on my book shelf! I love the meeting between Princess Leia, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker! It’s full of action, sass and the start of a beautiful trio! If this plot doesn’t get you interested, there is also Power of the Dark Side and So You Want To Be A Jedi!

New In Fandom: September

September

Luna’s Glasses Travel Pass (£2.99) |  Harry Potter 2019 Planner (£16.99) | Hogwarts Stationery Set (£19.99) | Quidditch Hardcover Journal (£13) | Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes Stationery Set (£19.99) | The Wand Chooses The Wizard (£14.99) 13th Doctor Action Figure (£19.99) | Power Rangers Blue Ranger Funko (£9.99) | Yu-Gi-Oh Funko (£9.99) | Coraline in Raincoat Funko (£9.99) | 13th Doctor Rock Candy Figure (£10.99) Doctor Who: The Women Who Lived (£14.99)

With September coming up in the next few days, I’m getting myself all excited for all the incredible new stuff that is coming out next month! There is so much being released and, since I’m a fangirl of many things, I thought I’d throw together a few of the things that I wish I could throw my money at already. A couple of the items come out either right at the end of August or right at the beginning of October but I was too excited for them that I included anyway!

HARRY POTTER STATIONERY SETS (£19.99): Waterstones has been my Potter heaven over the last few years and they continue to sell some brilliant stuff, including these two stationery sets that have a quill pen included! Look at them! They’re so pretty and you couldn’t miss the Weasley set even with your eyes shut! Got to love Fred and George! I do think they’re a bit pricey and would be better at 10.99 but what can you do?

QUIDDITCH HARDCOVER JOURNAL (£13): I have my eye on a few of the notebooks sold at Waterstones from the Hufflepuff one in stores now to this Quidditch journal! I am a major fan of the teal look and it just looks so pretty! This is definitely a must for any stationery or Quidditch fan out there!

HARRY POTTER 2019 PLANNER (£19.99): What better way to bring in September than with a Potter planner?! We are all going back to Hogwarts, aren’t we? (Shush…I’m really 11 and just really tall for my age!!). I have been so ready for a Harry Potter planner to help me sort out my weird life and, even though I’m not sure what it looks like inside, I’ll definitely be using this as my treat for the month!

THE WAND CHOOSES THE WIZARD (£14.99): I don’t care if this catered towards the younger Potter fans…I am stupidly excited for this book! I remember having an interactive wand that was similar to Bop It and I loved it so much…then it broke. I really wished I had Spell-o-tape back then. What I love about this book is that you have to do the proper wand motion for it to work! It’s the closest I’m going to get to do the wand thing at Orlando! Plus Scholastic knows how to make me happy!

LUNA’S GLASSES TRAVEL PASS (£2.99): I have ordered this because I needed a new travel pass after having my Osgood pass finally dare after all these years. I was gutted! If anyone else like me and Neville Longbottom, you tend to always misplace something and not know where you put it. I’m hoping that this brilliantly bright Luna Lovegood pass will be enough for me to spot and keep my Oyster card safe!

13TH DOCTOR ACTION FIGURE (£19.99): Is it really a surprise that I want to spend my money on this new Doctor Who stuff?! I can just tell that the 13th Doctor is going to Sonic her way into my heart! I have already missed out on getting the other Doctors in action figure form and you can’t miss out the merch for the first ever female Doctor! Plus I really hope we get Jodie playing with her new figure!

13TH DOCTOR ROCK CANDY FIGURE (£10.99): Same as the reason above!!

DOCTOR WHO: THE WOMEN WHO LIVED (£14.99): I’m desperate to get this book for 3 reasons! 1. It’s all about the incredible women based in the Who-verse! So many ladies for me to relive my crushes for! 2. I’m clearly meant to buy this book! I mean…The Women Who Lived…TheDeeWhoLived! 3. Christel follows me back on Twitter so maybe I’ll finally get that restraining order against me! Haha!

BLUE RANGER, YU-GI-OH AND CORALINE FUNKO POPS (£9.99): I couldn’t have a new-in without some new Funko Pops! With it being 25 years since the original Power Rangers (the ones I grew up with and loved), I know for sure that a Billy funko will be coming to live with me! He was always my favourite along with Kimberly (the pink ranger)! The same goes with Yami from Yu-Gi-Oh. Here’s an interesting fact and extremely weird one: I actually fancied the voice used for Yami! It was so cute! It stunned me when I was older to learn that the actor who did Yugi and Yami were the same guy! *bows down to Dan Green* As for Coraline:  SO CUTE!!

What new releases are you looking to for September?
